What is alleged to have happened
The complaint alleged that in 2014 Barbera told his father and brother to buy Medical Action stock, and that they bought 22,000 shares less than a week before the announcement and sold for combined profits of about $145,000. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Barbera consented to an injunction under Section 10(b) and Rule 10b-5 and the penalty. The settlement was subject to court approval.
