In February 2018 the SEC charged Canadian penny-stock company Analytica Bio-Energy, its undisclosed control person Douglas Murdock and former president Luiz Brasil over misleading reports and an unregistered share-sale scheme; Murdock and Brasil consented to injunctions and bars, with money to be decided later. An accountant was also made to obey a 2006 suspension.

What is alleged to have happened
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced on February 28, 2018 (litigation release 24058) a complaint in the District of Columbia against Analytica, Murdock and Brasil, and a separate application against accountant Marvin Winick.
The SEC alleges that in 2013 and 2014 Murdock, an undisclosed control person of Analytica, orchestrated a scheme to fraudulently obtain Analytica shares and sell them in unregistered transactions, and induced the transfer agent to remove restrictive legends, while he and Brasil helped the company file misleading periodic reports. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Murdock and Brasil agreed to judgments enjoining future violations and imposing penny-stock and officer-and-director bars, with the court to decide on motion whether to order disgorgement or a penalty. Winick consented to a court order enforcing a 2006 suspension from practising before the Commission, which he allegedly breached by preparing Analytica's financial statements. The settlements were subject to court approval, and trading in Analytica was suspended for ten business days.
This library tags the matter as undisclosed control blocks. No amount is recorded because none had been set. The record's defendant field had joined the names into one entity.
