Checked against the primary document on October 4, 2026. The library's summary, tags and figures for this record were compared with the regulator's own document by an AI model (Claude) following written instructions, with sampled and disputed records read a second time. No lawyer has reviewed them. A checked record can still contain errors, and checked does not mean endorsed. See how we check records or report a correction.

What is alleged to have happened

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced this matter on December 18, 2023 as release LR-25914. The SEC obtained a restraining order, asset freeze and receiver and alleges a $191 million cattle Ponzi scheme raising money from over 2,100 investors, with at least $58 million of new money used for Ponzi payments and over $11 million for undisclosed commissions.

This library tags the matter as a Ponzi scheme because the document describes returns to earlier investors paid from later investors' money, as alleged or found. The tagging is ours, not the regulator's: agencies charge statutory provisions, not technique names.

The SEC reported on September 30, 2025 that final judgments were entered against Agridime, Link and Wood on September 19, 2025, enjoining each from violating the antifraud and registration provisions and barring Link and Wood from serving as officers or directors and from participating in securities offerings. Wood must pay disgorgement of $1,959,309.67, interest of $373,676.49 and a $236,451 penalty; Link disgorgement of $3,106,957.09, interest of $693,251.87 and a penalty of $3,106,957.09; Agridime disgorgement of $102,936,904 and interest of $17,310,965.32, treated as satisfied by the receiver's collections.

The money fields are left empty here because the same final judgments are recorded, with their amounts, under the sibling record for SEC release 26415 (sec-agridime-llc-jed-wood-ponzi-schemes-2025); this avoids counting them twice. The release does not say whether the judgments were entered by consent. A separate CFTC action against the same parties is not covered here.

What technique is this, and how does it work?

This action is tagged with one technique in our taxonomy. The tagging is ours: regulators charge statutory provisions, not technique names, so the mapping is an editorial judgement described in our editorial policy.

Same matter

The library links these 4 records because they appear to concern one matter: the same lead defendant, an overlapping technique tag and close filing dates, or a shared court docket or a release that cites the other. Records are listed by date filed.

This grouping is the library's, made by matching names, techniques, dates and citations when the site is built. It is not the regulator's or a court's determination that the records are one case, and it errs towards missing a link rather than making a false one.
