What is alleged to have happened
The Ontario Securities Commission issued its notice of hearing and statement of allegations on June 3, 2016, and the Tribunal approved the settlement on June 8, 2016.
Between June and September 2015, Postrado, who worked in KPMG's real estate and construction tax department, obtained confidential undisclosed information about three reporting issuers, traded on it and passed it to his father, Fernando Postrado, who traded as well (see the separate record for Fernando Postrado).
Under the order he pays a C$20,000 administrative penalty, disgorges C$200,375 and covers C$8,500 of investigation costs, and is barred for seven years from acting as a registrant, investment fund manager or promoter.
