In March 2026 the SEC announced final judgments against Titanium Capital LLC and founder Henry Abdo, who raised more than $5.3 million from at least 162 investors in what the SEC called a Ponzi scheme: joint and several disgorgement of $2,920,668 and $467,933 of interest, offset by $375,479 of criminal restitution. Abdo was sentenced to 168 months in prison.

What is alleged to have happened
The court entered a default judgment against Titanium on February 17, 2026 and, on March 4, 2026, summary judgment against Abdo, enjoining both and barring Abdo from securities offerings except for his own account. Abdo pleaded guilty to wire fraud in the parallel criminal case. The SEC's claims against Carol Ann Barsh and two relief defendants were voluntarily dismissed earlier.
The record showed the matter as dismissed, apparently from those partial dismissals; the claims against Abdo and Titanium ended in judgments.
This library tags the matter as ponzi schemes because the SEC describes money from later investors being used to pay earlier ones. The tagging is ours, not the regulator's: agencies charge statutory provisions, not technique names.
What technique is this, and how does it work?
This action is tagged with one technique in our taxonomy. The tagging is ours: regulators charge statutory provisions, not technique names, so the mapping is an editorial judgement described in our editorial policy.
