In August 2025 the Securities and Exchange Commission charged Robert Yedid, a managing director at a consulting firm serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and his friends Andrew Kaufman and Mark Jacobs with insider trading that produced over $500,000 in combined profits. It alleges Kaufman and Jacobs traded as many as six companies' securities from 2019 to 2024 on client information Yedid supplied. The defendants consented to judgments with amounts left to the court, and Yedid to a broker association bar and an officer and director bar.
