What is alleged to have happened
The release concerns the SEC's insider trading action against David Blaszczak and others, in which tips of confidential government information about Medicare rate cuts were allegedly passed to a hedge fund advisory firm. Fogel consented to an injunction under Section 17(a), Section 10(b) and Rule 10b-5 without admitting or denying the allegations, and agreed to cooperate.
The judgment leaves disgorgement, interest and penalties to be set by the court on the SEC's motion, so no money is recorded. The release notes a parallel criminal case.
