A dash means the release did not state a figure we could extract, not that the figure is zero. Penalty and disgorgement are stored separately so aggregates across the library do not double-count the same dollars.

What is alleged to have happened

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced this matter on July 27, 2022 as release LR-25452. The complaint alleges that Robert and two companies raised about $900,000 from 80 investors, including Haitian-American community members, by promising risk-free returns of 10% to 48%, misappropriated the money and made Ponzi-like distributions.

This library tags the matter as a Ponzi scheme because the document describes returns to earlier investors paid from later investors' money, as alleged or found. The tagging is ours, not the regulator's: agencies charge statutory provisions, not technique names.

Outcome. The final judgment as to Alexandra Robert (S.D. Fla. No. 9:22-cv-81092, docket entry 19, entered November 28, 2022) was granted on the SEC's unopposed motion and recites that she consented to its entry without admitting or denying the allegations. It enjoins her under the registration and antifraud provisions, bars her from acting as an officer or director of a public company, and makes her jointly and severally liable with Chalala Academy LLC and Lendvesting Academy Corp. for disgorgement of $226,223, prejudgment interest of $17,512.34 and a civil penalty of $226,223, a total of $469,958.34 payable in five installments over about a year. The scanned document was hard to read in places; the figures were read from OCR text and are consistent with the stated total. The motion covered the two entities as well, but I read only the judgment as to Robert, so their separate orders are not described.
