Alleged — pending
These are allegations. CFTC has filed an action; nothing in it has been proven, and the respondents have not been found liable. Everything described on this page is what the regulator alleges, not what a court has found. See our editorial policy.
Checked against the primary document on October 4, 2026. The library's summary, tags and figures for this record were compared with the regulator's own document by an AI model (Claude) following written instructions, with sampled and disputed records read a second time. No lawyer has reviewed them. A checked record can still contain errors, and checked does not mean endorsed. See how we check records or report a correction.

This library tags the matter as ponzi schemes, based on the conduct the regulator describes. Each tag links to a page explaining how that technique works, what statute it engages, and what penalties comparable actions have attracted. The tagging is ours, not the regulator's: agencies charge statutory provisions, not technique names.
The claims remain allegations except where a court order, described below, has resolved them.
Partial outcome. The two named respondents are Aureus Revenue Group LLC and its owner and chief executive, Emir Jesus Matos Camargo. CFTC release 9212-26 (April 13, 2026) reports that the Middle District of Florida entered a consent order against Matos, ordering $666,038.67 in restitution and a $666,038.67 civil monetary penalty, each jointly and severally with any final judgment against Aureus, along with a permanent injunction and permanent trading and registration bans. The order finds that he made misrepresentations to pool participants, including a fictitious CFTC license with a forged signature, and took participant funds, and it treats him as a controlling person of Aureus, which the release describes as a defaulted defendant. The release says the claims against Matos are resolved but the action against Aureus remains pending, so we keep the record as filed and store no amounts in the structured fields. We found no judgment against Aureus on the CFTC pages we checked on 2026-10-04.
